Description

Both professionals and audiophiles require a no compromise loudspeaker that produces precise stereo imagery and the widest possible frequency response for an enclosure of minimum dimensions.

This has been achieved with the MCR 2A, which is equally at home in either domestic environment or studio control-room. Additionally, being phase compatible with our larger loudspeakers, it is ideally suited for use in a four-speaker arrangement. This carefully integrated design employs the same ferro-fluid damped tweeter and mid/bass unit that are used in our Professional Monitor loudspeakers. The sophisticated crossover configuration is also a derivative of the Professional series and ensures a smooth frequency response to well above audibility, whilst maintaining an even impedance characteristic.

Finished in the finest quality American Walnut, the heavily constructed and damped enclosures are supplied with brown foam fronts which are specially designed to be acoustically transparent. Edge defraction effects are thus effectively eliminated, minimising colouration.

The fact that this is the smallest loudspeaker we have ever produced confirms our opinion that, in the MCR 2A, we have made a most significant breakthrough in performance. Whether used professionally or in the home, its accuracy has no rival.
